Tuscany Wedding | Becky & Donald

Some weddings feel like a holiday you never want to end. Becky and Donald's Tuscan wedding at Villa Mangiacane was exactly that: sun, stone, and a day that moved slowly enough for them to enjoy every minute of it.

I'm so grateful they chose me to travel with them and photograph it. From the moment I arrived, the villa made it very easy to fall in love with the place.

The villa

Villa Mangiacane is full of character. There are ornate baroque ceilings and crystal chandeliers inside, stone steps and neatly clipped hedges leading to arched entrances outside, and gravel drives that look straight out of a film. I could have spent hours simply photographing the details: a vintage wall lamp beside the villa's nameplate, a row of old green glass bottles lined along a warm stone wall, and soft light falling through the windows.

Getting ready

The morning was calm and beautiful. Becky's bouquet was wrapped and waiting, and her white bridal shoes sat on terracotta tiles beside the window, catching the soft Tuscan light.

Gardens, meadows and long lunches

The grounds were the real showstopper. Wildflowers bloomed in the meadows around the villa, cypress trees lined the pool area, and a wooden pergola overlooked the Tuscan countryside, the kind of spot made for long, lazy dining with the people you love. Becky's brother preformed the ceremony and as you'll see from the photos, people's faces were sore from all the laughter!

Becky & Donald

This was one of those wedding I felt like a guest with a camera, the couple were just so delighted to be celebrating together with their favourite people around - honestly take me back!

Becky and Donald, thank you for bringing me along to Italy. It was a joy to be part of your day, and I hope these photographs bring you right back to it.
